From the Field to the Office: Leadership in Football and HR

From the locker room to the boardroom, leadership has always been my playbook.

After years of calling plays as a Middle Linebacker and Defensive Captain for the Beijing Barbarians, including representing the China All-Star Team against NCAA Division I’s Drake University, I’ve brought that same mindset—discipline, resilience, and teamwork—into the world of Human Resources.

Now based in Canada, I serve as the Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator at Nordstern Group of Companies, where I lead hiring efforts, streamline onboarding, and help build strong, engaged teams in a complex manufacturing environment. I specialize in turning strategy into action, whether it’s bringing in top talent, aligning with union standards, or creating training programs that actually stick.

During my time at Myrowich Staffing, I worked directly with Ukrainian newcomers, helping them find meaningful jobs and rebuild their lives. That same mission drives me today—helping people succeed, grow, and feel like part of a winning team.
