Recruiting & Onboarding at Nordstern Group
At Nordstern Group, I led full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for a multi-site manufacturing organization, including operations in both Canada and the United States. Supporting roles from shop floor to management, I worked closely with leadership to translate operational needs into effective hiring strategies, ensuring a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates in a competitive labour market.
I designed and delivered structured onboarding programs focused on safety, performance expectations, and integration, helping new hires become productive quickly while reducing early turnover. Alongside recruitment, I contributed to workforce planning by providing real-time hiring insights and visual pipeline tracking, enabling faster and more informed decision-making across locations.
A key part of my role was supporting the development of an in-house apprenticeship program for aluminum casting technicians—helping build its structure, evaluation framework, and tracking systems. This initiative strengthened internal talent development and created a clear path for employee growth.
Overall, my work connected HR with operations across multiple sites, ensuring that people strategies directly supported production efficiency, quality, and long-term business growth.
